What to Expect

So, here we are, at the new home for “A Novel Pursuit.” I decided to changed the web address because, eventually, I want to work toward making this site a little more personal. A new web address is an obvious start to that.

At this particular moment, I’m not sure what else will change. I still plan to do the links and writing prompt posts on the weekends. I plan to rethink what to post during the week. Some things may be personal, but everything will be writing-related somehow. I definitely want to keep that theme as I move forward.

I’m going to be moving over the next couple of weeks, so posts may be few and far between until I get everything settled. Stick around, though. Regular posts will be coming. Until then, happy writing!

A Few Changes

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted, but a lot has been happening on my end. My computer decided it didn’t want to work properly anymore, so i’ll be buying a new one sometime next week. My last semester in my Master’s program has started, which includes a final literature class and thesis. My first individual thesis meeting with my advisor is tomorrow and I’m very much looking forward it. I’ve also recently started a new part-time job.

It’s been a busy few weeks.

I’m one chapter away from completion of the first draft of my novel/thesis. I’ve decided to temporarily take the chapters down from this site as I continue to finish and then revise the work as a whole. Once the final version of the novel/thesis is completed in mid-November, I will repost the chapters here. As it stands right now, it’s just too much work to post and repost chapters as I revise them, mainly because so much revising is happening. Don’t worry, though. They will be reposted.

I’m hoping to get back to regular posting here, but until I get my new computer next week, that’ll have to wait.

Changes

Over the past several months as I was trying to pull myself back together enough to continue blogging and writing on a regular schedule, I toyed with a few ideas for this blog/website. Those changes have now been made and are as follows:

  • The “Creative Writing” page no longer exists. Separate pages have been developed instead.
  • All of my current poetry is listed on the “Poetry” page.
  • My short stories and other short fiction pieces are on the “Short Stories” page.
  • Both of my novels have their own pages, and the chapters are posted there one by one as I write or rewrite them. When revisions are made to those chapters, I’ll make a separate post so my readers stay current.

I’m getting used to change, even though I still have some issues with it. But then, I suppose we all do. I’m also toying with the idea of a domain change, but that will come when my current one expires, which isn’t for another year. I may find a new look for ANP, as well. We shall see what interesting things come up.
